As always, I strongly recommend using references. I wasn’t sure if this is Iron Man or something, so I used your picture as the complete reference. If it was Iron Man and you’re not sure about the amor looking for refernces should be the first thing you do.
For armor in general, it is important to let it look straigt and hard. That means that the lines need to be clean and straight, not shaky. If you’re inventing an armor, try to think of how it would work when you move your arms, legs, torso etc and make it work on the bending areas (blue lines in the second suggestion picture). And before you start with the armor, draw the base body (as in the first suggestion picture)!
